Lapideum, better known as "opus saxeum", is the method of
producing walling tilings
using big stones. This system develops a walling method and not a musive
one.
Borders, friezes, panels of this collection show a geometrical design
and the square
and triangular form of tiles shows some chromatic contrasts which are
less noticeable
through the tumbled effects of stone and marble.
